We have led and collaborated on projects with major research organisations including the UK’s Railway Standards and Safety Board (RSSB), such as the nationwide Integrated Train Service Recovery programme, FRCMS, and the development of an industry-first Dynamic Operating Model for High Speed 1.

Expertise

We bring years of experience in reviewing railway operations in Control Centres, Resourcing teams and overall Operations. We have conducted detailed reviews of Station Operations, such as High Speed 1 stations in the UK. All of our reports deliver clear insights and a series of targeted recommendations for consideration.

Operating
Strategy Development

We are experts in designing and delivering route-wide Operating Strategies. JFRail delivered the five-year Control period operating strategy for Network Rail High Speed in 2024 and the initial East Midlands Operating Strategy in early 2025.

Implementation   

We bring extensive experience in both leading and supporting the implementation of Operational change initiatives. For example, JFRail led the delivery of the UK-wide Integrated Train Service Recovery project which has been implemented in all Network Rail and Train Operator Controls.

Bid Support   

JFRail has deployed its team of experts to lead Operations and Customer workstreams in recent UK bids, such as the Elizabeth Line and London Overground Rail for London (RfL) bids. We successfully won the Elizabeth Line bid as part of the GTS consortium in late 2024.
