We are proud to showcase the TL Core Alerts System developed this year in collaboration with our partners at Trackbase.

Delivering the HS1 Dynamic Operational Model project on behalf of London St Pancras Highspeed (LSPH).

Using innovative rail industry technology to transform station operations.

Leading and delivering a second deployment of the Control Alerts System for Network Rail Western.
We are proud to showcase the TL core alerts system we have developed alongside our partners Trackbase this year. The system is an online tool that provides real time updates on incidents happening on a specified area within the Thameslink core. This gives management, control teams, customer information and station staff a view at a glance of what is directly impact the service at any one time from multiple organisations. It also allows for teams to share updates on the incident, times for the next huddle and service recovery information as the incident begins to clear, providing all the critical information at your fingertips and in one place.
All 4 NR Routes and GTR can create an incident if it is outside the TL Core. This will ensure that anyone from station staff to controllers can all see the latest status of incidents for each route rather than relying on sifting through Tyrell messages or emails.
The main benefits of the system are:
As this a web based platform users can login in from PC’s or tablets in stations and controls rather than having to rely on static screens in controls, making it accessible for viewer only roles in each organisation.

JFRail and the University of Birmingham (UoB) delivered the HS1 Dynamic Operational Model project on behalf of London St Pancras Highspeed (LSPH), marking a significant transition from static to dynamic railway modelling.
By simulating the HS1 and Eurotunnel networks in a single integrated model, the project tested operational scenarios and infrastructure changes, improving network capacity, performance, and cost-efficiency.
Together, we developed a highly accurate baseline model (e.g., track length discrepancy of -0.06%) which incorporated comprehensive stakeholder data on infrastructure, timetables, and rolling stock.
This model generated valuable operational insights, such as early running trains due to generous timetables and Eurotunnel shuttle delays caused by inaccurate rolling stock data.
