Exciting times ahead! – We handed over our final outline design report for the East Midlands Control Centre to the senior management team this week.

It has been an exciting project to be involved in, with us supporting the Network Rail and East Midlands Railway Control teams to review and complete first stage redesign of the Control Room so it works better for them.

The EMCC hasn’t changed much since the original room opened in 2008 and any changes have been shoehorned in where the space fits. This is a once in a generation opportunity to redesign the Control room so its not just fit for purpose but optimised for the future.

We leave the project outputs in safe hands, with the Control Management team having the challenging choice to make between 4 designs that are at least 20% more aligned optimised to the key communication links in the Control Room.
